Aaron Rodgers is saying goodbye to his Green Bay home, listing it for a cool $3.7 million. But what exactly does this luxurious property include?
It's been a while since we've seen Aaron Rodgers in a Green Bay Packers uniform. After the Packers' 2022 season finale loss to the Detroit Lions, Rodgers spent time with the New York Jets and is now with the Pittsburgh Steelers. This time away has led him to make a significant move: selling his Wisconsin home.
Rodgers is putting his four-bedroom, seven-bathroom house in Hobart, Wisconsin, on the market for a whopping $3.7 million. He originally purchased the property, located northwest of downtown Green Bay, back in 2015 for $1.74 million. That's quite an investment!
The house itself is expansive, boasting 10,529 square feet of living space on a 5.32-acre lot on the Thayer Trail cul-de-sac. The property is packed with amenities, including:
- An office/library
- A billiard room complete with a bar
- An all-brick theater room featuring built-in seating and a wet bar
- A wine cooler room
- Lighted tennis and pickleball courts
- A greenhouse
Rodgers' journey with the Green Bay Packers began when they drafted him in the first round, No. 24 overall, in the 2005 NFL Draft. He spent an impressive 18 years with the team, becoming one of the NFL's greatest quarterbacks. His 2011 quarterback rating of 122.5 remains the single-season record, and he earned a spot on the Hall of Fame's All-Decades team for the 2010s.
But here's where it gets controversial... Green Bay drafted quarterback Jordan Love in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft to eventually replace Rodgers. Rodgers responded by winning the NFL MVP award in the following two seasons before the team's disappointing 8-9 finish in 2022, his last with the Packers.
The New York Jets traded a first-, second-, and sixth-round pick to the Packers for Rodgers and a first- and fifth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Unfortunately, Rodgers suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 1, playing only four snaps. He returned fully healthy for the 2024 season, but the Jets finished with a 5-12 record. The Jets later released him, and he subsequently signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
When Rodgers bought this property in 2015, he was fresh off his second MVP award and only five years removed from his Super Bowl win. The house, built in 2003, had been listed on and off for years before he purchased it, according to Realtor.com data.
The listing agent for the property is Daniel Posey of Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group.
